With decades of experience in out-of-home therapeutic placement, admissions counselors will guide you through a myriad of issues during the enrollment process. The always-accessible admissions team will quickly respond to your inquiries with respect, compassion and insight.
The Second Nature Footsteps admissions team will start your journey with expert, personalized service. Flexibility and communication are hallmarks of the admissions experience at Second Nature Footsteps.
Admission Process
- Please call Admissions at: (866) 205-2500 or click here to access a specific admissions representative. We look forward to learning about your child and answering your questions about Second Nature Footsteps.
- Please complete the application for Footsteps admission. Your application will be reviewed within 24 hours (usually much sooner) and you will be notified regarding acceptance.
- Please download the appropriate Participation Release forms for the Second Nature Footsteps program your child will attend. Upon completion, please fax the release forms back to your admissions representative.
- Upon approval, your admissions representative will discuss travel arrangements with you. Please confirm travel plans with your admissions representative prior to purchasing tickets. We ask that students arrive at the airport prior to noon if possible. Your child will be greeted at the airport by friendly Second Nature Footsteps staff.

Details
- Second Nature Footsteps admits students Monday thru Friday, year round. Emergency weekend or after-hours admits will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
- Second Nature Footsteps provides all necessary gear, clothing, personal items and equipment for your child’s participation, except for eyeglasses (no contacts), prescription medication, and a dental retainer. Please do not pack additional items.
- Upon arrival, your child will receive a physical exam, after which Second Nature Footsteps will outfit your child with gear, clothing and equipment to begin the program and join the group.

Insurance & Tax
Second Nature does not participate with, contract with, accept or bill any insurance, however upon completion of the program; if requested; we can provide you with a super bill for the services that incurred and the necessary information you may need to provide to your insurance carrier for possible reimbursement.
In addition, some of the services provided at Second Nature may qualify as a medical tax deduction. While we cannot give tax advice we can provide you with a super bill upon request for your accounting needs. Please contact your Admissions Counselor for more information.
